Some Days, Okay Is the Best I Can Do

Some days I wake up already tired.

Not the kind of tired sleep can fix.
The kind that comes from carrying things quietly for too long.

Work needs me to be reliable.
Family needs me to be present.
Bills need me to be responsible.

Everyone needs something.
And most of the time, I just say okay.

I used to think I needed to do more.
Be better.
Be stronger.
Push harder.

But lately, I’m learning something else.
Be happier.

Some days, showing up is enough.
Some days, keeping things together is already a win.
Some days, “okay” is not giving up, it’s surviving.

I don’t have everything figured out.
But I’m here.
I’m trying.

And today, that has to be enough.

Okay Papa.
